People say horses damage land. This is not true. It is the way horses are managed on the land they live on that damages it... 

For the Environment

Horses have long held a reputation for destroying land, when in fact it is not the horses that damage the land but the management of horses on land that is the problem. There are ways of keeping horses that actually enhance and support the environment.

 

In the UK we have the added problems of rain and mud, particularly in winter, and many equestrian properties are on clay. These factors need to be taken into account when planning how horses will be kept.
